Ballerina Statuette, a trompe l’œil piece..

This fake statuette matches a real piece of sculpture in the property. When viewed from its main vantage point the painting seems to come away from the walls and occupy a real space in the corner of a landing.

The corner of the walls can just be seen coming up between her arms. There is significant extension of the left half of the figure to compensate for foreshortening from the view point.
